A number of Canadian e cigarette manufacturers, including Altria, have been found to be selling their products online through an e-cigarette shop operated by an undercover police officer.
It is not clear if any of the companies are registered as retailers in Canada, but the online retailer has not been identified by the Canadian government.
The investigation by the CBC and the CBC’s The Early Edition uncovered a network of websites that sell e-cigarettes, including one where customers can pay with credit cards.
The shop advertised that it sold the products for around $35 per gram, although it is not immediately clear how much it is selling.
The e-cig industry is in crisis.
The Canadian government has announced a $3 billion investment to combat the rising prevalence of smoking and its impact on public health.
