Thai PM orders probe into e-cigarette dangers

A Thai prime minister has ordered a probe into whether the e-cigarettes that have been banned in the country are unsafe.

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha ordered a commission to investigate the health effects of e-cigs, the government said in a statement on Sunday.

The government is also urging the public to report any health problems, the statement said.

The ban was announced in July after an outbreak of coronavirus in Thailand and prompted health officials to ban the sale of eCigarettes in public places.
